Mueller speaks, leftist heads explode!
Smollett walks, and Rahm explodes!
It's raining Leftist (brain bits)!

So what's the deal with Salem, then?
Rent-control? HUGE pay increase?
Did somebody slip LSD into the water?
And SCOTUS be damned, Salem wants our guns!

Could the Janus decision be any more specific?
(Unions can't collect without an opt-in request!)
And yet, here we are, wading around in cutesy
little tricks in Salem, cutting pay, writing
checks to the unions directly, and RENTING?

I smell a class-action lawsuit: by workers
who just managed to escape the unions, now
FORCED to "re-join" by the legislature!

Let's listen to the expert on the subject:
Aaron Withe
Aaron Withe
OR. Director

Freedom
Foundation

Aaron Withe is the Oregon Director of the Freedom Foundation, fighting government unions in Oregon since 2015, with great success. Which, of course, provokes the unions to fight back. But Aaron is determined, after growing up in a socialist country (Birmingham, England), to do what can be done to prevent Oregon and the rest of the left coast from slithering any further towards socialism. Hence, the passion to remove the influence of government unions. He will be talking about the unions' strategy to attempt to nullify the Freedom Foundation's campaign and also their attempts to circumvent the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Janus v. AFSCME.

Join us Wednesday night, and let's plot some un-socializing of Oregon.

Submitting Followup Information

Executive Club passes on meeting followup information as a courtesy to our speakers and members. Any member or speaker may submit, by email, a simple update text presentation to be sent to the club mailing list, to give the membership to have more details, or just a recap of your platform presentation. To be considered for publication, please be sure to submit your update within 24 hours of the close of the meeting. Please don't include any pictures in your text, but links to web pages, or links to things stored elsewhere on the web -- .pdf files, Word documents, or even pictures -- are OK now. Formatting and inserted pictures will not be copied, just the text content, so please don't use 4 fonts and 6 colors to convey your thoughts: you will be disappointed. Look at a previous followup email, or the bottom of most of the invitation emails, to see how they are presented. The simpler and cleaner your text, the more likely it will appear exactly the same in the email we send out. Each update must also indicate the author's name and contact information -- either a phone number, email address, or website with contact information. We reserve the right to edit for brevity, or reject, any submission.

From Aaron Withe (503-951-6208), Oregon Director of Freedom Foundation.

The Freedom Foundation is a regional think and action tank dedicated to removing government unions influence on the political cycle.

Last month we reported that SEIU 503 had lost 21% of it's membership since Janus. I'm happy to report the damages are even worse than we thought. Newly reported state numbers show that 26% of state workers have left the SEIU!

On top of that we've also found out that the average school district is reporting 31% of classified school employees are opting out of the AFT.

These losses show that on the west-coast, and in Oregon specifically, our campaign is having significant impact and the unions are feeling these losses. Perhaps that's why they've introduced several bills in the legislature to attempt to circumvent Janus. Most notably HB-2643, reported here by Fox News.
