Speaker change: Richard LaMountain, former VP of OFIR and
author of numerous articles on illegal immigration, will
speak in place of Jim Ludwick. More below:

It's 2018 Whack-a-Badger-Launch-an-Eagle season!

The Salem lefties have done damage -- again -- thus
certifying their stubborn traits of limiting legitimate
rights while supporting fake ones, and hijacking as much
money as possible while saying it's "for the little guy".

So, time to grab the mallet and smack some nasties,
and give some good things a chance to fly.

Sanctuary for illegals? Really? Helping law breakers avoid
lawful prosecution and removal from our state and country?
Not good! Whack!

Two more limitations on private gun ownership? Only allowing
criminals to have "scary" guns? Shackling guns in a safe?
What's next, holster padlocks? Not good! Whack! Whack!

But teaching the legislature a lesson, since they seem bent
on twisting what should have been clear language before,
requiring a 3/5 majority to raise revenue? Fly, eagle, fly!

There's more coming, but let's hear a panel of warriors
discuss and answer questions about those 4 petitions:

Kristian Roggendorf is a Lake Oswego attorney who has
supported gun rights in Oregon from all angles during
his career, and now sees an attempt to outlaw even the
best training rifle in history (used to train his own
kids and mine): the Ruger 10/22.
He brings a mallet to whack IP43 and IP44!

Shawn Cleave has more than 18 years experience as a
political policy insider working for conservative goals,
both as a legislative staffer as well as a lobbyist in Salem.
Shaun Jillions is a West Linn attorney with many years
experience representing trade associations and other clients.
They bring an eagle, IP31, to keep the legislature in line!

Richard LaMountain is a former vice president of Oregonians
for Immigration Reform, and was a chief petitioner of 2014's
Ballot Measure 88 opposing illegal-alien driver cards.
He brings an IP22 mallet to whack Brown's sanctuaries!

Join us for Wednesday arcade night!
Safety goggles and leather gloves suggested!

Submitting Followup Information

Executive Club passes on meeting followup information as a courtesy to our speakers and members. Any member or speaker may submit, by email, a simple update text presentation to be sent to the club mailing list, to give the membership to have more details, or just a recap of your platform presentation. To be considered for publication, please be sure to submit your update within 24 hours of the close of the meeting. Please don't include any pictures in your text, but links to web pages, or links to things stored elsewhere on the web -- .pdf files, Word documents, or even pictures -- are OK now. Formatting and inserted pictures will not be copied, just the text content, so please don't use 4 fonts and 6 colors to convey your thoughts: you will be disappointed. Look at a previous followup email, or the bottom of most of the invitation emails, to see how they are presented. The simpler and cleaner your text, the more likely it will appear exactly the same in the email we send out. Each update must also indicate the author's name and contact information -- either a phone number, email address, or website with contact information. We reserve the right to edit for brevity, or reject, any submission.

PJ Media has picked up our records requests efforts: https://pjmedia.com/election/undocumented-voters-theyre-here/ Quote from their coverage: "Shielding criminal aliens is only the most egregious of the stratagems at play to stuff ballot boxes with immigrant votes. Concomitant with this goal is that sanctuary city and state designations must be protected at all costs, even the cost of the safety and security of legal citizens.

From Aaron Withe (503-951-6208), Oregon Director of Freedom Foundation.

The Freedom Foundation is a regional think and action tank dedicated to removing government unions influence on the political cycle

This month SEIU 503 finished their nationwide search to find their new executive director. They looked no further than their previous political director, Melissa Unger. This says a lot about the direction that SEIU, the states largest government union, and the direction that they want to head in light of the Janus decision coming through the Supreme Court. Recognize the last name Unger? You may, her brother is the executive director of the union funded group, Our Oregon. Nothing like keeping it in the family, let's see if she can last longer in their than her predecessor, who barely broke 12 months.

Here at the Freedom Foundation we are also gearing up for the groundbreaking Supreme Court case, Janus v. AFSCME, that is expected to grant national right to work to all states. For Oregon this will mean that finally government employees can no longer be forced to pay dues to a union as a condition of employment. We've developed our message, and this will be the start of the end for government unions reign in Oregon.

We currently have 5 ongoing lawsuits with unions in Oregon. Stay tuned to hear more about our battles in the courtroom and on the ground.
