Isn't it about time to #StopTheAbuse, and Recall Kate Brown?
Full recall materials here.
[Editor's note: My personal view? Ignore the fist-fights, and sign both petitions. You know where to get them. Who cares who gets the credit? What matters is stopping Kate Brown.]

For those who miss the "Lazy Fair" Bar-B-Q Political summer events-- formerly hosted by the Oregon Executive Club, all who attended last year's MCRCC Labor Day event, and every curious Republican in Multco, this is the initial information I promised regarding the Multnomah County Republican Party's 2nd Annual Labor Day Bar-B-Q (Weenie Roast). We are still in the planning stage for this event and more information will be provided as it is available -- both online and via E-mail. If you prefer to be contacted by E-mail go to:
https://www.multnomahgop.org/contact-us
This event was established last year as a fund raiser to counter the Marxist Labor Day celebration held by the opposition party at Oaks Park on the same day. With the success of last years event (graciously hostessed at a private residence), it has been decided to increase our capacity and draw by moving the event to Blue Lake Park. Come support your local party and meet some of our Multnomah County Republican 2020 candidates and elected officials. What a great opportunity to renew old political contacts or make new acquaintances! This is being planned as a family friendly event.
Date: 2 September 2019; Labor Day
Time: 1-4:30 PM (Guests may arrive beginning at 12 PM) First meat off the grill off the grill about 1PM.
Where: Blue Lake Park (Covered Ramada to be identified once reservation is confirmed).
Tickets will be available securely on line at:
https://www.multnomahgop.org/ (this should be operational shortly). For those preferring to pay by phone please call: 503-956-0919 (If no answer, please leave message including name and return number -- someone will return your call).
Donation: Individual $25; Couple & Family $50. Note: there is a per car admission fee of $5 charged by the parks dept. (I am not aware of any admission charge for bicycles or pedestrians).

The Freedom Foundation is a regional think and action tank dedicated to removing government unions' influence on the political cycle.
On June 11, 2019, Freedom Foundation attorneys filed a
lawsuit against the Oregon Education Association and its local affiliates, including Portland Public Schools and Eagle Point School District. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of three OEA members who have requested to leave their union but are being told they must continue paying dues until the annual opt out window in September.
This is the first lawsuit the Freedom Foundation has filed against the OEA but is very similar to other ongoing lawsuits with SEIU 503 and AFSCME 75, all challenging the constitutionality of “revocation windows” in a post Janus world.
June 27th was the
one-year anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court case in Janus v. AFSCME, which ultimately freed public employees from obligatory union membership. Since then, the Freedom Foundation has helped over 15,000 public employees in the state of Oregon leave their unions, producing some of the highest membership declines in the entire nation.

5 line signature sheets for the gross receipts tax repeal are
now cleared for use by the Secretary of State for circulation. But the only the 5 line sheets with the petition text printed on the back side will be accepted by the Secretary of State, and the ones you picked up at Executive Club were not printed on the back, so don't use them. We can send you new 5 line sheets with the petition text printed on the back if you will email
Jeff Kropf at jkropf@wvi.com, say how many you want and your address to send them.
Additionally, the 10 line sheets are approved by the SOS and are available also if you would like to request one or more of those.
Please
download and print the actual text of the parts of HB3427 that we are repealing, and remember to keep it with the petitions as you circulate them.
Be certain that you personally witness people signing your petitions.
After each sheet is complete, be sure to fill out and sign the Circulator Certification section at the bottom of each signature page.
Finally, please
download and print this letter from attorney Dan Meek detailing your rights to gather signatures in public places and citing Oregon Supreme Court rulings establishing that right. We advise you to print a copy of this letter
if you intend to be circulating petitions in public places in the rare instance that government officials or opponents of our effort try to stop you from circulating.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thanks for caring enough to fight for our right to vote on this damaging tax.

Hello All!! It was great seeing everyone Wednesday evening!! Hadn't seen some of you in awhile and it was great catching up!
We Oregonians are at the tipping point. IF we properly seize this golden opportunity that is just lying there -- WE CAN TAKE OREGON BACK. 2020 looks very good for us. People are MAD. They are standing up to do something about it too.
Soooo... We need to be there with a fresh new message and fresh ideas- or we WILL LOSE this GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY!
In my view, the catapult to get us there is this Recall effort. We have been building this for 4 months now and we have County Captains in nearly every county and are building and creating even more! To date- we have 8,000 people plugged in and ready to go to work! They are READY to take back Oregon!
The actual Recall will be filed June 17, 2019. It will be a very nice early Christmas present having her gone December of 2019!! After Kate is gone, we can use this organization to GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE ELECTED!!
As I said, we are foolish if we don't properly plan and cultivate this golden opportunity! I can't do it by myself though! I need your help!! Currently we are labor rich and cash poor. I know how to shave a dollar and accomplish multiple objectives with the SAME DOLLAR! We have filed Oregon Freedom Foundation (c3 non profit,) and Advancing Oregon a c4.
I hope you will reach out- offer to help both with a little time and some funds. Please visit
FlushDownKateBrown.Com, enroll, and maybe chip in a couple dollars.
If you want to know more about me, visit
MichaelCross.Org. I recently ran a mayoral race and after only living in the present community for two years- garnered 31% as a WRITE IN CANDIDATE.
We also have Oregon First PAC -- geared towards winning over the D walkaways and votes from the left to accomplish our goals! I respectfully ask for your help, in any way you can!

TAKE THE INITIATIVE!
Drivers on both sides of the Columbia River are frustrated by growing traffic congestion. It's hurting our distribution-based economy, creating unsafe conditions, and increasing air pollution. As the situation gradually became a crisis, the State of Oregon and local jurisdictions invested billions elsewhere.
2 years ago the Legislature responded by passing HB-2017, increasing Vehicle Registration Fees, and raising the gas tax by 10 cents per gallon, exclusively for maintenance. Several large highway projects were funded, but money for widening I-205 and Hwy 217 was eliminated late in the process. Tolling was presented as a possible way to fund those projects.
Instead, the State authorized a study for "Value Pricing", a plan to toll existing freeways in which the millions collected won't be spent on increasing capacity, and the rates will be higher during heavy traffic times. Imagine the cost! Imagine how much traffic would be diverted into our neighborhoods! Fortunately, we have the power of the Initiative process, and are already taking action. IP-10, a state-wide petition, is being circulated to require a public vote before tolling can be imposed.
A second initiative, involving transportation spending, will soon be filed In Clackamas County. The opportunity to make a difference is here. We need energized volunteers and financial support to qualify the Initiatives for the ballot in 2020. Please join our movement to keep driving affordable!
