From Anne Marie Gurney (503-901-5635), Oregon Coordinator of Freedom in Action.

We at Freedom in Action filed our fourth lawsuit this year in federal court against the state of Oregon and SEIU for making it near impossible for union members to exercise their Constitutional rights. It is galling to see how the unions just simply create exceptions for themselves and the state just follows their orders. We are calling them out on it, and this will not be the first time we do so. Click here for the press release that went out November 3rd.

There are many many more lawsuits in the works. If all goes as planned, there will be another before the New Year.

If you like what we do, please consider us in your charitable giving as you look at your year-end giving. Every dollar we spend, our goal is to make sure it costs government unions ten dollars. Every hundred we spend, it better cost them a thousand. We have cost government unions close to $9 million in Washington state this year, and the tally is still being totaled in Oregon.

M97 is being foisted upon us by the government unions for one purpose. We appropriately refer to it as "union membership drive 2016". By having 17k more public employees, who will be required to pay forced dues, conservatively it means unions will have $8 million plus in their already stuffed coffers to continue to wreck the havoc they do on our legislative sessions and election. Until we turn off that faucet of money flow, we will always be swimming upstream.

Tigard Mayor Cook is all wrong about light rail and its impacts

Tigard Mayor John L. Cook has kicked off his campaign to persuade voters to approve MAX light rail in November. As usual, the fallacious message is a parroting of how light rail will reduce congestion in Tigard. Over and over again that will be the drumbeat of the yes campaign.

The immense deceit involved with such claims cannot be overstated. Cook and other light rail proponents do not want congestion relief.
